shuli Galchhi Hydroelectric Project (75 MW) is located in Nuwakot and Dhading district of Nepal on Trishuli river, a major tributary of Sapta Gandaki river. The Company has obtained the Survey Licence of the Project on 24th Asoj, 2067 B.S ( 10th Oct, 2010 A.D) from Ministry of Energy through Department of Electricity Development and completed the detailed Survey of the Project. The Company has entered a Power Purchase Agreement PPA with Nepal Electricity Authority on 20th Jestha, 2073 B.S. (2nd June, 2016 A.D). The Company has obtained the Generation License on 10th Kartik, 2073 B.S. (26th Oct, 2016 A.D) The Project is a Run-Of-River (ROR) type hydroelectric project. There is a provision of construction 24.5m high dam. There will be 8 radial gates of 12m high which makes a barrage in the Trishuli river. The ground head difference from the intake to the power house is found to be 58.5 meters. The net head varies from 49.82 m to 60.29 m in different months upon the discharge available in the river. The design discharge at Q40 is estimated to be 176m3/s. The installed capacity of the project is 75MW and contract energy is 430 GWh.
